chicago

Oh how I miss the windy city! My sister lives in Chicago, and just had her white coat ceremony for podiatry, and unfortunately I didn't get to make it ! My parents are there though!

I need to plan a trip to Chicago here soon. I haven't been there in about 9 months, and that is absolutely CRAZY.

It will be nice to have a Toddler Free week and go out and do normal adult things. Being with a toddler 24/7 I'm starting to think like one. I need some Adult conversations pronto or I might lose my sanity!

My Favorite Earrings!

Rimmel Lash Extender vs. Covergirl Lash Blast

I have been looking for a good mascara for years. I buy them, but am not completely happy. Finally I found something I absolutely LOVE! Here are the contenders:

I have to say, The Rimmel Lash Extender is my FAVORITE!!! I am absolutely in love with this product. It makes my lashes long, and I don't even have to use an eyelash curler before hand.
I definitely have to give the Lash Blast some credit though, because it is an amazing mascara, and probably my 2nd favorite!

How to Marry a Millionaire

Lastnight I watched this film.
I have to say, I fell in love with the fashion of this era. I love the hair, the glamour, the white gloves, and pretty outfits. Im glad that this look is starting to have a comeback. I like women looking feminine.

My favorite part about the movie was when they were eating hotdogs and drinking champagne! ha!

The story begins with three Models who don't have alot of money, but want to find themselves some rich husbands. whatever they are doing isn't working, so they decide to poll their money together and rent a penthouse downtown ritzy Manhattan, hoping that it will attrack millionaires to them, becuase they will play the part of having money.

Well, All the women end up finding guys "not so rich" and falling in love. Its such a cute movie!

Homemade Playdough

Me and Emma will definitely have to try this! :)

Just Like the Real Playdough (so they say)

1 cup flour
1 cup water
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon powdered alum
1/2 cup salt
2 tablespoons vanilla
food coloring

Mix all dry ingredients. Add oil and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until reaching the consistency of mashed potatoes. Remove from heat and add vanilla and food coloring. Divide into balls and work in color by kneading the playdough.

Scarf trend!

Everyone knows that scarfs have been coming back. I would say its been in affect for the past three years. I never thought I could see people wearing them in the Summer though, but hey, whatever floats your boat! I have been caught wearing one with a tanktop on a summer night, but never during the day.

I love them. They are great for wear in the autumn, winter, and spring!! I'm actually excited to see them come out during the summer to, but like I said, you won't see me wearing one unless its a summer NIGHT. haha

I just bought a turquoise one the other day from the gap. I cant wait to wear it with a white tee, and some jeans. I love my scarf collection!

I find this extremely irritating.

I hate when parents refer to their children as a "little devil", "demon baby", "demon seed" "spawn of satan" "son of satan" or just in any way as a devil.

I hear it so often. I heard it today while at Walmart, and I have to say, to me this is very upsetting. Children are gifts from God. I know that the parents dont REALLY mean it, but people need to start choosing their words wisely.

Another thing that bothers me is when parents call their children "bad". Children aren't bad. They may do naughty things, but they aren't BAD. I never call Emma bad, because I think it kills childrens' self esteems.

PICKLES!

Ever since I was a little girl I LOVED pickles. I loved them so much that I would even drink the juice. All my sisters are this way, even my cousins. Still to this day, I will pick a pickle over any kind of food.

So what, who cares? HEY! This is MY blog, and I can write about anything of my choosing! ;P

So anyways, Today I had pickles for lunch, and it took me back to my kiddie days when me and my sister would eat a whole jar in one sitting. I think I had 3 or 4 today. EEK!

But yes, Clausen is my FAVORITE pickle brand by far!

Just taking a lil look :)

So I have been looking alittle for places still.
I found this one that I

Or this one, which is JUST down the street

Now only to get a job... haha

Tea for Two, Two for Tea

I have been searching and searching for a tea set, and I finally came upon one that I absolutely adore. I think every Lady should have her own set, and this set is perfect for me. It screams Missy!
